Whilst Wii Sports Resort is packed full of great mini games there were a few additional ones that didn’t quite make the final cut.
We considered fishing and a water slide activity before deciding on the final twelve events. As for more unconventional concepts, we created a pretty fun prototype of kendama, a traditional Japanese toy, that just didn’t fit the game’s theme.

Wii Sports Resort continues to dominate multiplatform software sales in its first week of release in North America.
The recently released and well received Wii Sports Resort has topped sales charts in both America, Japan and the UK as widely expected. It’s shifted just shy of half a million copies in Japan alone, with similar sales expected the world over.

Nintendo’s recently released Wii MotionPlus has shifted nearly 500,000 units, and that’s before its flagship game Wii Sports Resort is released. The motion sensing peripheral is clearly having the initial impact that Nintendo so rightly predicted.

The Official Nintendo Magazine is calling Wii Sports Resort “a-must-have-game” in its latest review.
Wii Sports Resort has scored a whopping 94% in the latest issue of the Official Nintendo Magazine. The gaming publication claims that the title thoroughly showcases what Wii MotionPlus is all about, and is a must-have-title for any Nintendo Wii owner.

In four frantic days the recently released Wii Sports Resort shifted a gargantuan 353,827 copies in Japan.
Wii Sports Resort has been a undeniable success for Nintendo, with the title becoming the third best selling Wii game in Japan. Gamers couldn’t wait to snap up the invigorating title with 353,827 copies being sold within the first four days.

Nintendo has revealed two new Wii Sports Resort mini games in its advertising campaign for the aforementioned title.
The first new addition to Wii Sports Resort is the inclusion of Wii Mini Golf giving you a whole new perspective on the game due in part to the addition of the Wii MotionPlus peripheral. The second new mini game is Wii Table Tennis, which previously appeared in the top-selling Wii title, Wii Play.

Pictures have secretly been snapped of an upcoming retail release schedule in Amsterdam purportedly showing the release dates of both Wii Sports Resorts and the unannounced existence of Wii Fit Plus.

According to online publication, IGN, Wii MotionPlus looks as though it’s facing development issues.
The Wii peripheral was originally scheduled to be released in June alongside Wii Sports Resort, which subsequently fell off Nintendo’s release schedule for 2009. Now IGN are stating development problems of the peripheral is to blame, whilst the number of games featured on Wii Sports Resort has been reduced from ten to eight.
