Nintendo Wii: American Wii Music Sales Disappointing

Sales for Shigeru Miyamotos latest Wii opus, Wii Music, have been undeniably mediocre in the United States. Sales figures currently show that Wii Music shifted a mere 65,000 copies in its first two weeks at retail, an exceptionally long way behind the phenomenal success of both Wii Fit and Brain Training.

Nintendo Wii: Miyamoto Claims Wii Music Sales Aren’t Too Bad

A slightly disheartened Shigeru Miyamoto spoke out regarding what he claims are disappointing sales figures for Nintendo’s recently released musical offering.

First of all, with the game hitting the No.1 spot in Japan in its first week with sales of just under 100,000 units, and the title now out in the US as well, Miyamoto-san expressed how sales so far were ?not too bad?, with expectations for it to be a slow-burner due to the nature of its gameplay, with it picking up over time thanks to positive word-of-mouth.

Nintendo Wii: Nintendo Admits An Injustice Has Befallen Wii Music

Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime has dramatically spoken out about what he deems to be a bad representation of Wii music by both the gaming press and Nintendo fans in general.

What’s powerful in Wii Music is this juxtaposition of something that looks so simple but is wonderfully difficult to master. We may have done that title an injustice at E3 by showing something that looked so easy. We made it appear too simple. Now we’re showing the tremendous variety of instruments and tones and how challenging it is to make music that sounds good.

Nintendo Wii: Wii Music Dated For European Release

Finally confirmation has come through regarding the much anticipated release date for Wii Music. The rhythm based title is due to hit all good European retail outlets, November 14th.

The Big N have this morning confirmed that Shigeru Miyamoto’s new family-friendly opus, Wii Music, will arrive on the 14th of November.

Nintendo Wii: Wii Music US Release Date Announced

October 20th has been secured by Nintendo as the official US release date for Wii Music. Sadly there’s no word as of yet regarding a European release date.

Now Wii Music builds on that inclusive legacy by letting people turn their living rooms into fun concert halls. It brings the experience of performing music to people who think learning an instrument is too difficult. Wii Music launches exclusively for the Wii™ console on Oct. 20 and aims to bring a deeper love and appreciation of music to everyone.

Nintendo Wii: Wii Music Hitting Japanese Stores October

The forthcoming Wii smash hit, Wii Music, is set to retail in Japanese gaming stores October 2008.

Courtesy of gaming Bible Famitsu, we can report that the quirky music simulator will be available in Japan this October for the sum of ¥5,800 (around US$ 54). Wii Music is also expected to hit all other territories before the year is up.
