Recently released hardware sales for June/July show the Wii sitting discontentedly in 3rd place.
Heading the console charts is Sony’s PSP console (56,439) which is closely followed by the Nintendo DS (47,455) and in belated third, the Wii (44,525).

Going against the grain, a Japanese school encourages students to embrace Nintendo Ds consoles.
Motoko Okubo, a Japanese junior high school teacher thoroughly encourages her students to bring their DS consoles with them to school for unique weekly sessions consisting of vocabulary, penmanship and audio comprehension teaching.

Super Mario RPG has been officially dated for a June 24th release in Japan.
Whilst the world awaits confirmations of when other territories can expect to receive this undeniably classic title, Japan are set to re-experience its adorably quirky charm June 24th.

Wii Sports sales in Japan have hit an unprecedented high with an estimated 3 million copies sold.
Unlike the rest of the world Japanese Wii’s do not come pre-bundled with Wii Sports, therefore it’s an amazing achievement for this particularly entertaining game to sell to one in two Wii owners in Japan.
