As the festive period draws ever closer demand for the Wii continues to exceed retailers expectations.
Shifting over 1,400 Wii consoles in ten minutes Internet retailer Amazon along with other online retailers are aghast at just how immensely popular the intuitive gaming console is set to become this Christmas.

Consumers needlessly holding out for a possible Wii price cut before Christmas definitely shouldn’t hold their breaths.
Speaking with the Japanese Jiji newspaper, Nintendo company president Satoru Iwata reiterated that they have absolutely no intention of lowering the Wii’s already advantageous price point.

Hardly unsurprisingly Nintendo have clarified with Gamesindustry.biz that there’s to be no price cut on its Wii video game console for Christmas 2007.
“We’ll stay at USD 249 for the foreseeable future. We are still selling everything we can make.”
